Countdown to Halloween Calendar Counted Cross Stitch Kit by Bothy Threads XBD20

Stitch Countdown to Halloween, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — numbers 1 to 31 spiral around a spider's web, each paired with a tiny bat, cauldron, pumpkin, black cat or witch, with 'Trick or Treat' in orange.

A little stitcher's folklore: carving turnip lanterns at Halloween began in Ireland and Scotland; pumpkins only took over when the custom crossed to America.

Why this kit: a Bothy Threads original design from the Summer 2025 Collection, it is sized to fit the largest Nurge hoop for a quick, stylish finish.

Kit includes: 16-count antique white Zweigart Aida, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch and back stitch. A hoop or frame is not included.

Stitch one numbered motif at a time in cross stitch, then add the web and outlines in back stitch; a needle minder makes a handy marker for the countdown.

Finished size: 27×29 cm (10.6×11.4 in). Bring it out every October to mark the days to Halloween.
